Tang Soo Do is an ancient Korean Martial Art. Our system utilizes all that was good of that style and has added solid Christian Values.
The Three Principles of Tang Soo Do
WISDOM
Wisdom in the choices we make and the direction we take. Each step we take needs to be one of wisdom. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise.” (Psalm 111:10)
STRENGTH
Strength of character, strength of body, strength of faith. Our strength is in the Lord. “The Lord gives strength to His people; the LORD blesses His people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11)
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
HONOR
Honor is a way of life. The martial arts student should live a life of honor that reflects not only his studio but also our Lord Jesus. “My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge.” (Psalm 62:7)
“It is to a man’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.” (Proverbs 20:3)
